Just a Quick Update

Not too much has happened at the Cornatzer house since my last post. I have spent the last few weeks sick and the doctor's cannot figure out exactly what is wrong. To make a long story short, I had a sore throat for about 6 days a while back. It went away for 3 days and came back last Monday along with a 103 fever. It was miserable. So anyway, I went to the doctor that night and he tested me for strep and mono. Everything was negative, but he did say my white blood count was high which means there was some sort of infection going on. He gave me an antibiotic for strep because he figured that is what I had but it was just too early to come back positive on the test. So I took the antibiotic for 10 days and by the last few days I did not have anymore sore throat, but I was still extremely tired. My antibiotic ended on Wednesday and my sore throat came back again last Friday. I went to a different doctor that night and he was convinced I had mono because of my symptoms and how tired I had been (I neglected to tell him that my dog doesn't like to sleep in and starts pulling my covers off by 5:30 everyday). Anyway, he tested for strep, mono and did another blood count test. Yesterday they had all the results back and told me the strep and mono test were negative, but my white blood count was high STILL. So i still have a sore throat, an infection, but of course they don't know what. I was supposed to go in today to have the tests run again to see if there are any changes. I didn't make it today because of work, so maybe tomorrow after another long day. Anywhoo...I'm still alive so that is a positive :)

Work has really picked up for me lately. Our tentative open date for the gym is Monday, May 4th. We could open a couple days earlier than that, but I think we are going to wait until Monday instead of opening on the weekend. Things are really coming along though. The next couple months are going to be pretty busy for me. I welcome it though, I like to be occupied.

I also have a new hobby as some of you already know. I bought a new SLR digital camera and a couple different lenses for it. I have always been interested in photography and have always wanted to learn. So I am going to start taking some classes in my busy schedule to learn what I am doing. My first class is Thursday, April 23rd. It's in the Columbia Center downtown from 7-9pm which isn't my first location choice, but I should be able to learn a lot from it. The time actually works out perfect for me right now anyway. It is late enough where hopefully I will be done with work for the day! I have been practicing a lot with the camera and trying to get used to all the different settings. I will post some pictures after I get some good practice shots to show you.

I guess the last thing I have to say is that: I AM SO OVER THIS WEATHER. I am ready for some SUNSHINE! Well, I hope everyone had a Happy Easter.
